Prayer Requests from our Haiti Missionaries

We received the following prayer requests
in an email from Bruce Robinson. Please pray
for the following issues. If your time is limited,
see the last one.

-The church building at La Corne
(at Trois Rivieres just this side of the
river from town) is done enough that it
is useable. First service was just
before we left in August. They are trying
to start an elementary school
there in the building also. They need a
latrine and we have started building
one on faith. We expect to spend around
$3000 on a latrine with 8 places. Can't
have a school or church without basic
sanitation. This church was meeting
under a tarp until August.

-Please pray for us as we work on
permanent repairs on the water systems
for Poste Metier and Passe Catabois.
Together they serve around 20,000 people.
They were damaged in a couple key places
by the two hurricanes. Patched together
now with permanent repairs that will
take much of next year needed. Pray for
weather that is dry enough to be able to
on these two systems. There is money on
the way to do this work and what we need
is prayer for us, the crews, and the weather.

-Before being distracted by the damage from
the hurricanes we were working on a drainage
project that would eventually put 2200 acres
into irrigated agricultural production. Work
we have already done in an adjacent area had
really increased plantain production until
the plants were mostly destroyed by the
hurricanes. We have a Quonset Hut type building
that is in crates on the ship ready to be
unloaded at Port-de-Paix as I write this.
Pray that we will be able to get this building
up in the first six months of next year to use
as a base of operations for this work.

-We need to add a utility room onto our house
and replace two walls in our kitchen that are
badly damaged by earth tremors (because they
were not well constructed by the previous owner).
Haven't figured out how to do this exactly
since our kitchen is where Deb cooks all the
meals for the teams. Anyone who has ever done
a remodel knows that it will take more time than
you planned and cost more than you estimated,
but it is time to get the kitchen fixed for Deb
so she is better able to serve the teams that
come to help each year. This is a personal need.
Would like to start after the first of the year.

-We delivered 25,000 packages of vegetable
seeds in the last couple weeks and have more
on the way. Also working on a project to get
corn and bean seeds to help people that lost
all their crops. Please pray that there would
be a harvest and food this winter. Also that
the plantains that we knocked down by the
floods would grow back quickly. Some were not
completely washed away. People are hungry and
need food.

-In all this pray for people to come to Christ.
May we being the loving hands of Christ as we
minister to them to show them His love.
